Dear Senator Cornyn,
What is wrong with your fellow Senator from Texas, Senator "Cave-Rino" Hutchison ?
In the midst of this incredibly important debt crisis discussion, she says, "I think it’s a fair compromise."
There is NO WAY IN THE WORLD that caving into a socialistic President Obama is a fair compromise.
We MUST NOT give Obama a blank check when it comes to the debt ceiling, which is just more power to raise taxes!
The McConnell-Reid Plan gives President Obama new power to unilaterally raise the debt ceiling $2.5 trillion in three segments over the next year, without a Congressional majority.
It also creates a new congressional committee to report a deficit plan to Congress by the end of the year. No way do we need a new committee, or a new set of government controls.
But here's what bothers me the most: this plan would become a massive tax increase, while handing Obama almost unilateral power to increase the debt ceiling.
It would give Obama almost unilateral power to raise the debt ceiling without so much as a Congressional majority. This is not only irresponsible leadership, it undermines our Constitution.
According to the Washington Post, "The panel will require only a simple majority to report a plan to Congress, it would be protected from Senate filibuster and it would not be subject to amendment."
Let me be perfectly clear: I STRONGLY oppose any measure to give Obama the power to raise the debt ceiling without a Congressional majority. Also, I OPPOSE any debt deal that raises taxes without an equal or greater tax cut elsewhere.
Senator, Please stand strong and oppose Obama on this issue, and work hard to convince your fellow Senator from the Great State of Texas.

NO to Panetta as Sec. of Defense...!!!
Dear Senator,
Please vote NO on Leon Panetta for Secretary of Defense.
You are being asked to endorse a man whose Congressional career was dedicated to fighting President Reagan’s defense build-up and anti-communist policies.
Based on the facts about Panetta’s record and curious connections to a major figure in the Communist Party, which are only lately starting to get the attention of the conservative media, a vote for Panetta can only be viewed as trashing the Reagan legacy.
At a time when Reagan had said, "In virtually every measure of military power the Soviet Union enjoys a decided advantage," Panetta sought to undermine Reagan’s pro-defense policies at every turn:
Panetta in 1983 endorsed the nuclear weapons freeze, a concept backed by the Soviet Union which would have frozen in place a Soviet nuclear advantage in Europe.
Panetta supported a ban on the testing and deployment of new nuclear ballistic missiles.
Panetta opposed CIA covert operations to undermine the Communist Sandinista regime, calling Reagan’s support for the Nicaraguan freedom fighters a "dirty war."
Panetta opposed the neutron bomb, an enhanced radiation weapon designed to counter a Soviet tank build-up in Europe.
Panetta opposed the B-1 bomber, which was funded under Reagan and is today a key part of the fleet.
While most members of Congress were saluting Reagan and our troops for liberating Grenada, Panetta criticized the Reagan action and warned against the dispatch of a U.S. naval task force to the vicinity of Cuba. "This is not a time to seek out new targets to flex our military muscle," Panetta said.
Panetta opposed the MX "Peacekeeper" missile, arguing it would jeopardize arms negotiations with the Soviets. Reagan had warned that defunding the system would "weaken our ability to deter war…"
Leon Panetta is a threat to all things conservative.

As a Podiatric Physician and constituent, I was extremely disheartened and frustrated by the failure of the Senate to either delay the impending 21.2% Medicare fee cut or follow the lead of the House and pass meaningful Medicare physician payment reform before leaving Washington on March 26.
The future of Medicare and the health of my Medicare patients rely on the ability of qualified physicians to provide care. And the future success of my practice as a Medicare provider depends on reliable and fair reimbursement for my services.
My colleagues and I hear repeated commitments from members of Congress to eliminate the SGR and enact a system that more fairly reimburses physicians for their services.
Senator, I’ve been talking to my patients about this, and so far, I have not found a single patient who is willing to take a 21% cut in their Social Security check each month, nor a single patient who is willing to take a 21% cut in their paycheck each month.
The repeated failure of congress to take decisive action on physician fees has
shaken my confidence in the Medicare program.
I have no choice but to DISCONTINUE TAKING NEW MEDICARE PATIENTS.
Other Podiatric Physicians feel the same way.
Where are these Texas Medicare patients going to go for their health care?
It has been years since there has been stability in physician reimbursements, and I respectfully request that you keep that commitment to health care providers and Medicare beneficiaries by resolving this issue for the long term now.

WHY I DON'T LIKE OBAMA
Obama has been proven to be a liar.
From the moment he stepped onto the national stage to campaign for the presidency, Obama has consistently lied to the American people in order to convince us to trust him with our economic and national security. Since becoming our president, he has betrayed that trust.
During his first eight months in office, Obama has exhibited his admiration for dictators and disdain for our allies.
His dogged determination to turn our country into a failed socialist nation was in full evidence when Obama nationalized General Motors and Chrysler. He gave to the unions control over the two giant automobile manufacturers, while freezing out retired investors and allocating billions of taxpayer dollars to this socialist power grab. As a further slap in our economic face, he expanded the corporate bailouts, including giving billions to AIG without pre-conditions. Then, to add insult to injury, Obama doubled our national debt with his out-of-control spending.
Obama is spending so brazenly because he is counting on Americans being lulled into complacency by the time of the 2010 elections. By design, the bulk of the "stimulus" funds will be spent, just in time, to spur a false recovery. The "recovery" will be hailed as proof of Obama's wisdom by the liberal media. It will not matter that the so-called recovery will not be real, or that it won't last – as long as Obama and liberal Democrats stay in control of our government.
Demonstrating his willingness to operate without regard for our laws, Obama fired two inspector generals (IG’s) who were investigating illegal activities by Obama cronies. Obama fired the IG’s even though, by law, inspector generals are authorized to conduct investigations without interference from government officials.
Blatantly, Obama refused to prosecute Black Panthers caught on video intimidating voters at a polling place in Philadelphia during the 2008 election.
Further, Obama filled his cabinet with five people who have cheated on their taxes, and two of his other nominees withdrew after they were exposed as tax cheats.
Obama and his supporters scoffed at parents and called them racist for not wanting their children indoctrinated by Obama with his K-12 speech. Obama’s talking about the value of education was not the problem. What rankled citizens was the lesson plan from the Department of Education – before it was changed under pressure from the public – that required children to write papers about how to help Obama achieve his radical agenda.

The lack of any check on Obama’s power, due to a veto-proof Democrat-controlled Congress and a lap dog liberal media, has caused Obama to boldly assert his radical agenda and surround himself with a stable of over 30 advisors called "Czars". These unaccountable Obama-appointees are beholden only to Obama. They are not unanswerable to Congress or the American people, as was intended by our Constitution which requires congressional confirmation hearings and oversight of political appointees. Among those Czars are Communists, Marxists and other characters with troubling backgrounds and questionable credentials who should not be allowed anywhere near the White House. Gone is media outrage over abuse of power or an imperial presidency, as well as any angst about the shredding of our Constitution.

He released information on U.S. intelligence gathering despite contrary urgings of his own CIA director and the four prior CIA directors.
He ordered that the word "terrorism" be stricken from our discourse and replaced with the innocuous words "man made disasters."
He appointed a Homeland Security Chief who identified military veterans and abortion opponents as "dangers to the nation."
In a scary bid to increase the political power of the Democratic Party, Obama politicized the census by moving it out of the Department of Commerce and into the White House.

Hands OFF my Health Care...!!!
Dear Senator Cornyn,
Hands OFF my health care...!!!
President Obama's health plan would put government bureaucrats in charge of my health care.
I reject his plan.
I want to make my own choice of medical professionals.
I want my doctor to decide when and what care I need, NOT a government bureaucrat.
As a health care professional here in Abilene since 1980, I know that government run health care WILL lead to rationing of care for senior citizens and long waits for treatment for everyone, just as it has in Canada.
It is time for Washington politicians to listen to the people and refuse to pass government run health care.
One size does not fit all when it comes to health care for Americans.
There is absolutely NO reason that health care reform must be railroaded through Congress this year.
Please continue to Strongly Oppose Obama and liberal democrats on this abomination called "ObamaCare".

Dear Senator Cornyn,
Please continue to strongly oppose the Sotomayor nomination.
I had planned to send you my top 3 reasons to oppose this nomination, but then I began to remember that you were formerly a Supreme Court Justice here in Texas.
So you already know dozens of reasons why this is a nomination that MUST be opposed.
Please bring out those reasons during the hearings, and show the American public how this nomination reflects Obama's true radical socialistic agenda.
