CONGRESS can't say NO to PORK

Did you know…?
THAT Senator Harry Reid introduced a $1.27 Trillion dollar omnibus spending bill?
THAT the bill is 1924 pages long? (Who is going to READ all that?)
THAT it contains 6000 earmarks worth $8 billion dollars? (Can you say “Pork Barrel Spending”?)
THAT the pork includes:
• $349,000 for swine waste management; (yes, the management of pig excrement)
• $2.9 million for Grand Forks International Airport expansion;
• $3.5 million for termite research in Louisiana (as if Louisiana is the only state with termites)
• $5.4 billion in new labor, education, and health spending including money for the failed Head Start program
• $1.25 billion in spending on Obamacare and
• $18 million for groups named after the late Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-MA) and Rep. John Murtha (D-PA)
THAT if the Senate doesn’t approve it by midnight Saturday, the government shuts down?
THAT Gallup just now released a poll showing that 83% of Americans disapprove of the way Congress is handling its job while only 13% approve? (That is the worst approval rating in more than 30 years of tracking congressional job performance. This is the first Congress to fail TO EVEN VOTE on a budget for next year.)
THAT Conservatives are NOT surprised by that poll?
So, let’s call Senator Reid’s bluff…let’s tell the U.S. Senate that we’re sick and tired of how fast and furious the government is spending our tax dollars.
A “shut down government” can’t spend any more of our tax dollars…!
